Athyra (Thrace)

Athyras (Ancient Greek: Αθύρας) was an ancient Greek[1][2] city in Thrace, located in the region of the Propontis. It was also the name of a river. It is thought to be on the site of the modern Turkish city of Büyükçekmece.
