Avatha rufiscripta is a species of moth of the Erebidae family. It is found in Peninsular Malaysia and on Sumatra and Borneo. The habitat consists of lowland forests.
Adults are similar to Avatha uloptera, but the forewings lack the transverse brown band of this species and the antemedial black area is oblique and edged with creamy white distally. Furthermore, the postmedial black area is much wider.[2]
