Attapeu , Attopu or Attapu (Lao: ອັດຕະປື) is the capital of Attapeu Province, Laos. It is the southernmost among provincial capitals in Laos opposite Phongsali in the north.
Transportation
A new airport in the city was scheduled for completion on June 2013.[1] However, as of December 2013 there is still no airport in Attapeu, and construction has not yet begun on the new airport.
A report from 3 March 2015 states that the airport is now 90% complete and flights will commence soon, perhaps as early as May 2015.[2]
