Avanti Travel Insurance

Avanti Travel Insurance (trading name Avanti Insurance Limited) is a British travel insurance company based in Braintree, Essex, England. It was established in 1996 by chief executive Glen Smith. Its policies are underwritten by Tokio Marine HCC and the company uses the Healix Travel Black Box screening system to assess and underwrite any risk presented by customers travelling with pre-existing medical conditions.
In 2014 the company introduced a home care assistance benefit to their travel insurance policies, claiming to be the first insurer of their kind to do so.[1] In the same year it launched a partnership with registered charity Transplant Sport UK, the organisers of the annual British Transplant Games.[2]
In 2015, Avanti Travel Insurance signed a three year sponsorship deal with Braintree Town F.C. which saw its Cressing Road Stadium rebranded as the Avanti Stadium.[3] The company also won two awards: a bronze award in the 'Best Travel Insurance Provider' category at the 2015 British Travel Awards,[4] and one at the Essex Business Excellence Awards.[5]
In 2016, the company launched an advertising campaign with British nightclub owner Peter Stringfellow.[6]
