Avatha subumbra is a species of moth of the Erebidae family. It is found in New Guinea[2] and Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland.
The forewings are greyish-brown with a dark green submarginal band fading towards the base, as well as a dark spot in the center of the costa. The hindwings are uniform brown.[3]
