For the French saint and hermit, see Aventin.
Aventin (Russian: ÐвентиÌн) is an old and rare Russian male first name.[1] Its feminine version is Aventina.[1] The name is derived from Aventinus, which is the Latin name of the Aventine Hill, one of the hills on which the city of Rome was built.[1]
The diminutives of "Aventin" are Aventinka (ÐвентиÌнка), Ava (ÐÌва), Venya (ВеÌнÑ), Vena (ВеÌна), and Tina (ТиÌна).[1]
The patronymics derived from "Aventin" are "ÐвентиÌнович" (Aventinovich; masculine) and "ÐвентиÌновна" (Aventinovna; feminine).[1]
