Ayesha Akhter Khatun as Ayesha Foyez (23 March 1930 – 27 September 2014) was a Bengali writer. She was the mother of writers Humayun Ahmed, Muhammed Zafar Iqbal and cartoonist Ahsan Habib.[2][3][4][5]

Personal life

Ayesha was born at Barhatta's Koitali village situated in the district Netrakona. Her father's name was Abul Hossain and mother's name was Khairun Nesa. She was married to Foyezur Rahman Ahmed, a police officer who was killed by the Pakistani Army during the 1971 Liberation War of Bangladesh.[4][6][7]

Death

Ayesha died on 27 September 2014 at Dhaka Labaid Hospital at around 7:20 am due to a kidney malfunction.[2][4][7][8]
