Azerbaijan State Museum of Musical Culture (Azerbaijani: Azərbacan Musiqi Mədəniyyət Dövlət Muzeyi) – is established in 1967, in Baku. The main aims and targets of the museum are collection, storage, investigation and popularization of materials related to the musical history of Azerbaijan.[1][2][3]

Exhibits

More than 20000 exhibits are stored in the museum’s foundation. Among these exhibits are such musical instruments as tar, kamancha, saz, qaval, qoshanaghara, zurna, ney and other rare instruments as asa-tar, asa-saz and also gramophones, portable gramophones and gramophone records. Archives of such opera singers as H.Sarabski, F.Mukhtarov, M.Bagirov and others are saved in this museum. Author’s music manuscripts, personal belongings, records, posters, programs, photos, works of visual arts, notes, books and other exhibits are stored in the museum.[4]
