Azwar Anas[1] is a former Indonesian politician. Born in Padang, West Sumatra on 2 August 1931, he was a minister in Suharto's New Order administration for two terms (1988–1993 and 1993–1998). Before sat as a minister, he was selected as the governor of West Sumatra. He was completed his education in Bandung Institute of Technology majoring in Chemical Engineering.
