BMSCE is accredited with A Grade by NAAC (2013-2018). The Engineering Programs of BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) Bangalore is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in Tier I Format, recognized by Washington Accord during October 2014. The Accreditation is manifestation that the Institution is recognized for promoting high quality engineering education and continuously meeting the established quality standards. The Washington Accord is an elite international agreement on engineering studies and mobility of engineers. The Accord signed in 1989 as an international agreement among bodies responsible for accrediting engineering degree programs. Besides the UK and USA, some 17 countries, including Australia, Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Turkey as its signatories. BMSCE had the proud privilege of being shortlisted by NBA in the very first phase of accreditation process under Tier-I Format. The College had the unique distinction of representing the Country’s private educational institutions. A three-member international team from International Engineering Alliance [IEA] accompanied the peer team as observers during first site visit by the evaluation team during December 2013.

The accreditation has enabled global recognition and greater flexibility to degrees and increases the mobility of BMSCE graduates in the signatory countries for higher study and jobs. The undergraduate degrees of BMSCE are now acceptable in the nations that have signed Washington accord.
