BF Antliae (HD 86301) is a class A4V (white main-sequence) star in the constellation Antlia. Its apparent magnitude is 6.32 and it is approximately 520 light years away based on parallax. [1] It is a Delta Scuti variable that varies by 0.01 of a magnitude.[2] These are short period (six hours at most) pulsating stars that have been used as standard candles and as subjects to study astroseismology.[3]
It shines with a luminosity approximately 57 times that of the Sun and has a surface temperature of 7715 K.[4]
