BMW B37
The BMW B37 is a 1.5 litre, diesel, 3 cylinder engine with a single, mono-scroll and VGT turbocharger. The compression ratio is 16.5:1. It's the 2nd engine on BMW's modular engine plan sharing most of its components with the B38 petrol engine. Power output is said to be from 100 bhp and 181 bhp. If this is true it has among the highest specific output of any production diesel engine.
