It will be built at the BMW US Manufacturing Company plant in Greer, South Carolina. The X7 will have three rows of seats, unlike BMW's other offerings. The X7 will be built on the same platform as the X5 and X6.[4] It will be the first BMW SUV with a V12 engine.[5]
