BTCXIndia is an Indian Bitcoin exchange platform offering customers to trade the crypto-currency bitcoin for Indian Rupees. The exchange is reportedly India’s first exchange to offer a real time trading platform and is by volume the largest in India as of July 2014.[2][3]
History
The exchange was launched on May 5th, 2014 and is based out of Hyderabad in southern India. It is only available to use for Indian nationals. The company is said to have taken a self-regulated approach while waiting for authorities to finalize regulation around crypto-currency in India, and follows know-your-customer procedures and anti-money laundering guidelines at par with similar requirements imposed on regulated financial institution.[4][5][6][7]
