B K Birla Center for Education is a residential co-ed IPSC school located near Pune. Affiliated to the CBSE syllabus, it caters for 600 students from class IV to XII.[1] It was founded in 1998 by industrialist Basant Kumar Birla and inaugurated by Rahul Bajaj.[2] The school's first principal was Shri G.C.Rao, who was further succeeded by Shri S.K.Bhardwaj. Shri Bhardwaj is succeeded by Dr. Subhash Kumar.[3]The school also had a temporary principal, Matthew Menezis, before Shri S.K Bhardwaj succeeded. Dr. SK Sanyal is the current principal of the school.Recently been given the IPSC status.The school believes that academics and activities are 2 sides of the same coin.
