Babel Hotel

Babel Hotel, or Babylon Hotel is a large hotel in Baghdad, Iraq, originally built for Oberoi Hotels & Resorts

It is located on Haifa Street, on the banks of the Tigris, in Zuweia district, 10 min from downtown, and is 4 star hotel with 300 rooms.

It is a Ziggurat, having the form of a terraced step pyramid of successively receding stories or levels. It was designed by Slovenian architect Edvard Ravnikar, with interiors designed by Indian architect Sunita Kohli. It is not yet possible to book online. On January 25, 2010 it was the site of a car bomb attack.[1]
