Babesia bigemina is a protist belonging to Chromalveolata kingdom, family Babesiidae.

In cattle causes babesiosis disease, called "Texas fever". Length 4-5 µm, width 2-3 µm. Usually has oval shape. In blood cells gets located midsagittally and its size gets up to 2/3 of blood cell size.
