Following his participation in "Green Revolution" protests following President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's disputed reelection, Sayed Ziaoddin Nabavi was arrested along with his wife,[7] and he is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence on charges of "creating unease in the public mind".[8]
