Backtrack is a 2015 Australian mystery thriller film written, co-produced, and directed by Michael Petroni. The film stars Adrien Brody, Bruce Spence, Sam Neill, Robin McLeavy, Malcolm Kennard, and Jenni Baird.
Plot
Troubled psychotherapist Peter Bowers is suffering from nightmares and eerie visions. When he uncovers a horrifying secret that all of his patients share, he is put on a course that takes him back to the small hometown he fled years ago. There he confronts his demons and unravels a mystery 20 years in the making.[3]

Release
The film premiered on April 18, 2015, at the Tribeca Film Festival.[2] On April 24, 2015, Saban Films acquired distribution rights to the film.[3]
Reception
With Rotten Tomatoes currently holding it at a rating of 26%, mostly negative reviews, based on 24 reviews with one quoting "A movie that tries to make a choo-choo out of "The Sixth Sense" but immediately goes off the rails.". Has an average rating of a 5.9/10. Out of 100, Metacritic gave it a 43, mostly mixed or average reviews and ratings.[4]
