Badar Munir (1940 – October 11, 2008) was a Pashtun film star and director. Originally from Madyan[1] in the state of Swat, he starred in over 737 Pashto and Urdu films from 1969 to 2002.[2]

Before joining films, Bader Munir used to drive Rikshaw in Karachi streets then he got a job as Tea boy in Waheed Murad's office. He was introduced by Waheed Murad to the film industry in 1969. His first movie was Yousaf Khan Sherbano, with Yasmin Khan as heroine.[1]
