"Badfish" is a song by ska-punk group Sublime from their 1992 debut album, 40oz. to Freedom. The song was originally released on the band's 1991 demo tape, Jah Won't Pay the Bills. The song was later featured on the band's 1997 compilation album Second-hand Smoke and Greatest Hits album. It is one of the band's most popular songs. The melody of the song is heavily inspired by "All the Fun That We Missed" by The Ziggens. The song is in the key of A mixolydian. It has been said Nowell wrote this song about his struggle with heroin addiction.[1]
