Badger High School (Kinsman, Ohio)

Badger High School is a public high school in Kinsman, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Joseph Badger Local School District. Their nickname is the Braves.

The district was named after Rev. Joseph Badger, a circuit riding minister of the late 18th century.

Famous Alumni include NASCAR Driver Dave Blaney and his brother Dale Blaney, a former college basketball star at West Virginia University and driver on several professional racing circuits.[1]

The original high school has been demolished, along with the middle school and all elementary schools. These schools are now combined in one, brand new building.

The district is made up of four townships, in the shape of an inverted L, in the northeast corner of Trumbull County. They are, west to east, north to south, Gustavus, Kinsman, Vernon, Burghill, Hartford and Orangeville. This makes the Joseph Badger School District at 100 square miles (260 km2), the largest geographically in the county.
