Bait Muzna for Art Film

Bait Muzna for Art Film (BMAF) (Arabic: بيت مزنه للفيلم الفني) is an independent cultural institution exploring regional and international developments in new media, photography, performance art, land art, narrative video and documentary film. Located in Muscat, Oman, in a traditional three-storey house, previously known as Bait Muzna Gallery,[1] founded in 2000 by Sayyida Susan Al Said, BMAF is currently undergoing significant transformation to be completed by early 2016.

Mandate

Founded in 2015, BMAF represents a bold new direction for contemporary art film in Oman, expanding the previous art gallery’s mandate of presenting cultural events and public programs. BMAF is a research-based institution endeavoring to promote contemporary Omani visual culture and to further relations with the global contemporary art and film scene.
