Baker High School is a public high school in the western United States, located in Baker City, Oregon. It is part of the Baker School District 5J.
History
In 1889, Baker City built a school housing 12 grades, becoming the second public high school in Oregon.[2]
In 1989, the school was mostly destroyed in a fire, although no one was hurt.[2][3] A new building was completed 25 years ago in 1991.[2]
Athletics
The boys basketball team won the 4A State Championship in 1972 and again in 2007.[4] The varsity football team won state championships in 2010[5] and 2012.[6]
Activities
Bel Canto Choir received first place in the State Choir Championship 3A and 4A in 2006, 2007, and 2008.[7]

- Gerald Schroeder - justice, Idaho Supreme Court (1995–2007); chief justice (2004–07), class of 1957
- William Tebeau - ODOT engineer; in 1948, first African American man to be graduated from Oregon State. BHS class of 1943
