Bakori is a Local Government Area in Katsina State, Nigeria. It was Created on 15th May, 1989 out of old Funtua Local Area. Bakori Town was made the headquarters of the Local Govt Area. the current chairman of the local government is the DAF the current Emir (sarki) is Alhaji Idris Sule Idris Nadabo (Makaman Katsina), hakimin bakori, sarkin Adon katsina VII

It has an area of 679 km² and a population of 159,371 at the 2006 census. Moreover, it shares border with Funtua by the west as if a suburb of Funtua.
