Bala Ganapathi William is an Indian actor, anchor and producer of Indian origin in Malaysian Tamil Cinema / Malaysian Indian Cinema.[1] He is also known by his initials BGW. He is the founder and CEO of BGW Studios Pvt Ltd, also known as BGW Studios Sdn Bhd.

Early life and education

William born to a Malaysian Indian family in Sungai Petani, Kedah. He finished his primary education at SJK (T) Saraswathy, a Tamil school in Sungai Petani, Kedah. He completed his secondary education at SMK Bandar Sungai Petani in 2007. After completing his secondary education, he was selected for an intercultural student exchange program under AFS Intercultural Programs from 2008 until 2009. In 2009, he joined AIMST University in Kedah and finished his pre-engineering/foundation in engineering course. In 2010, he studied for a bachelor's in Honors Mechatronic Engineering at UCSI University.

Television

William appeared for the first time on television on 2009 in a program titled 'Alaram 2' on ASTRO Vaanavil, at the age of 19. He made his debut as a host, TV anchor in a dance competition titled Yuttha Medai which was previously known as Aattam 100 Vagai in ASTRO Vaanavil in November 2012. He made his debut in acting in a TV Drama titled 'Alarum Pookkal', also knowns as '3 Doctors' which was aired in RTM TV2 channel in 2013.

His program Rasikka Rusikka was a big hit among all in 2014, ASTRO Vinmeen HD. Rasikka Rusikka is a street food program whereby William travels on a bike and tastes all the best street foods throughout Malaysia. In 2015, once again William was the anchor for Rasikka Rusikka Season 2. The Season 2 of Rasikka Rusikka program was on air in Malaysia & Singapore TV channels simultaneously.
