Balarama Krishnulu is a 1992 Telugu, drama film produced by Sunkara Madhu Murali on Vinnela Art Productions on banner, presented by Sri Sravanthi Movies, directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty. The film stars Shobhan Babu, Rajashekhar, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishna in lead roles and the music was composed by Raj-Koti. The film is a remake of the Tamil movie Cheran Pandiyan from 1991.[2][3]
Plot
Balaramaiah (Sobhan Babu) is the head of the village, his word is an ordinance to villagers. He leaves with his wife Vasumathi (Srividya) and daughter Pooja (Rajeevi), but he strictly adheres to the caste. That's why he get read of his brother Krishna Murthy (Dr. Rajashekhar) and sister Seeta (Kalpana) because father is same to both of them, but Krishna Murthy's mother is from a lower caste. So Balaramaiah always ignores Krishna Murthy and both of them leaves by making participation of their house. Shivaji (Jagapati Babu) brother-in-law (son of maternal uncle) to Krishna Murthy comes to the village, for his help and Krishna Murthy gives shelter to him in his house. Shivaji falls in love with Pooja. Balaramaiah comes to know about this and he makes arrangements for Pooja's marriage with Antharvedi (Tanikella Bharani), son of Chintamani (Gollapudi Maruthi Rao) who always makes clashes between Balaramaiah & Krishna Murthy. At the end Balaramaiah realizes his mistake with the advice of Vasumati, accepts Krishna Murthy as his brother and a happy ending by rejoining the entire family.
