Bamna (Bengali: বামনা) is an Upazila of Barguna District[1] in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh.
Demographics
According to the 1991 Bangladesh census, Bamna had a population of 65,965. It has 12,713 households and a total area of 101.05 km². Males constituted 49.64% of the population, and females 50.36%. The population aged 18 or over was 33,808. Bamna had an average literacy rate of 86.5% (7+ years), compared to the national average of 32.4%.[2]
