Bandi (writer)
Bandi (Korean: "Firefly") is the pseudonym used by a North Korean writer, born 1950 and still living in the country, whose short story collection was smuggled out of the country by a relative and published in Seoul in May 2014.[1] The book, comprising seven stories set in the 1990s around the time of death of Kim Il-sung, is set for publication in English (under the title The Accusation) and in many other languages beginning in 2017; rights have been secured by Grove Press in the USA and by Serpent's Tail in the UK and Commonwealth.[1][2][3][4][5]
