Banke Millie Afghan

Bank-e- Millie Afghan is a large, state-owned back operating in Afghanistan and established in 1933. Bank-e- Millie Afghan is credited with the introduction of the banking system to Afghanistan.
The bank initiated its operations on initial investment assets of AFN 9.6 million, of which 72% was raised from private sector and a 28% share in the equity was bought by the Afghan government. It was fully nationalized by the government in 1976.

The bank was founded under the auspices of Herati businessmen Abdul Majid Zabuli.
