Village Baragaon (Madva) is in Jaunpur of Uttar Pradesh state. It is 6 kilometers from Shahganj Railway station toward east-west direction on Lucknow road. It is famous for its unique Juloose-e-Ammari and azadari. Juloos-e-Ammari mourn once in the year in the months of Rabi-Awwal.

Azadari

Baragaon's Azadari is very famous. Juloos-e-Amari (Procession depicting return of prisoners of Karbalar war back to Medina from Syrian prison) of Baragaon is famous in Shia community in the region. Every 7th Rabi-Awwal of lunar year peoples arrange this procession, many people come here from over the country and also from around the world. Neutral atmosphere provide great look to this procession, that makes it unique in the world. Juloos-e-Amari will be held on Friday 11 Feb 2011 (8 Rabi ul Awwal According to 29 moon) from Panje sharif at 5 pm after Namaze Fajr. Amari Juloos last destination in Chahar Rauza (Rauza e Rasool & Bibi Fatima) by Namaze Maghrib & will be recite last Majlis by Mirza Mohammad Jafar Abbas Sb.by zain

Muharram

In whole Ayaam-e-Aza (Muharram, Safar, and 8 day of Rai-Awwal) people are busy in Majlis and Matam. 10 days of Muharram is so sadly atmosphere in this village. From morning 8 am to late night 11 pm majlises are running in different Imambaras. Ladies also organize majlises in the home and Imambaras. Ladies's majlises are organize more than male's majlises.

5th Muharram

The first juloos is in the evening of 5th of muharam people are coming with Alam from different areas of the village to Panj-e-Sharif (Dargah of Ali). There is organize a majlis in yard of Panj-e-Sharif, and speaker read the marsiya of Mir Babar Ali Anis that is...

7th Muharram

The second juloos of the muharram is begin in the evening of 7th muharram from Panj-e-Sharif with Mir anis's marsiya....

Jab khaime me rukhasat ko shah-e-bahero bar aaye

Chillai Sakina mere beqak pedar aaye...........

to village's Karbala (also known as Pithana) by streets and roads with a lot number of Alams, Juljanahs and many Matmi Anjumans. At the Pithana there is a Darghah just like a great Zari. Peoples moving around the Darghah and doing matam with Qamma (Knife). At that time any body can amazing the condition of a battle area. Pithana is also an old grave yard of this village, there is unnumbered grave, and field of Pithana is just like a desert with date's trees, it is in the south away from residential area. Aftar some time people moving to village and doing Nazr-o-Niyaz.

Late night another juloos begin from Bara Darwaza Imambargah to Main Imambargah of village (Chahar Rauza). This juloos is famous with other name "Juloos-e-Mehendi" in memory of Shahzada Qasim. This juloos is end before morning Azan of eight muharam.

8 Muharram

8 Muharram is the Hazri day of Abbas around the world and also in this village. So the people of this village and also many other villages come to the Darghah-e-Abul-Fazil-Abbas and prasent their Hazri to Maula Abbas the whole day. And in the night a great juloos begins from the Imambara of Sheikh Noor Ali, situated in the east of the village and ends at Darghah-e-Abul-Fazil-Abbas that is situated in north side of the village. Many people join this juloos also from near villages. Many Alams and Juljanahs provide a great look to this juloos. The juloos ends in the next day morning at about 8 am after a taqareer by a Maulana.

9 Muharram

In the night a juloose start from Imambargah of Syed Sibtain Hassan Rizvi to Dargah-e-Abul-Fazil-Abbas in the memory of Imam Husain's youngest son Shahzad-e-Ali Asghar with a "Jhula". This juloos is known as "Juloos-e-Jhula" and this Juloos is end before morning Azan of 10 Muharram. >?>.'k,

10 Muharram Roz-e-Ashura

The whole day of Ashura is so sadly that can not be written. People are looking just like prisoner. People read Namaz-e-Ashura doing matam and moving without footwear.

In after noon near about 3 to 4 pm Juloos-e-Ashura begin from Panj-e-Sharif and end to Pithana. People are carrying Taziya on shoulder and doing matam with hand and Zanjeer and Qamma. During zanjir's matam a special nauha read by Matmi dasta, that is....

Islam ki Kismat ke chamakte huye tare,

Abbas tujhe ahel-e-wafa yad karen ge.........

At the pithana matmi dasta doing matam with Qama, around the Dargah of pithana, people are breaking "Faka", burialing all taziyas to graves, reading zeyarat-e-asura and then move to home.

Majlis-e-Sham-e-Gariban

In the evening of 10th Muharram a great majlis organized by people in the Chahar Rauza (Main Imambara) after moving from Pithana. There is no light in the Imambarah and its whole yard. Whole Imambarah and its great yard is fulfill with people. Majlis begin with "Salam"...

11 Muharram

Luta Huwa Kafila

In 11th Muharram a juloos called "Luta huwa kafila" begin from Madarsa-e-Abutalib (Imambada Syed Sibtain Hassan/Syed Wasi Hassan Rizvi (unchva mohalla) to Panj-e-Sharif. In this juloos three camel covered with only a black old sheet without "mahemil", without "hudaz", without "ammari", a camel with adust "Jula" on its back, a zuljanah with only a sheet, and an alam that is in salami mode in whole juloos.

12th Muharram

In 12 muharram peoples doing fateha of Sahidan-e-karbala in every house.

25 Muharram

In the afternoon of 25 muharram a Juloos organize in the memory of Bimar-e-karbala abid-e-bimar "Imam Jainul abedin" from the a house to Panj-E-Sharif with a Shabih-E-Taboot of Imam. After juloos ledies are also organize a majlis at the dargah Panj-E-Sharif with Shabih-E-Taboot.

Syed Mohammad Daud Abdi 'Kavish Jaunpuri'

He is a well known poet of the village, he has written several types of poetry such as "Gazal, Qasida, Nauha, Salam, Marsiya and many other Kamsa, Musaddas, Quataat etc".

He has also founded "Anjman Samm-e-Adab" Baragaon, except Fiza Jaunpuri each and every poet of Baragaon at present are the product of Samm-e-Adab, such as Khurshid Jaunpuri who composed "Akbar tumhe maloom hai kya mang rahe ho..... and Sabb-e-Ashur dhalti ja rahi hai" the well known nouhas of India. o

Sahar Arshi the second product of Anjuman Samm-e-Adab is a most popular announcer of India, and many other such as "Sahil Jaunpuri, Shaid Jaunpuri, Parwaz Jaunpuri, etc."
