Barbara Rosenblat
Barbara Rosenblat (born in London, England) is a British actress and voice artist.
She appeared in the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black as Miss Rosa.
Acting career
Her first acting role was in Fiddler on the Roof as "Yenta" in a touring company with performances in Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio. She returned to the UK to begin her professional career in show business. She appeared on London's West End in Torch Song Trilogy, Godspell, Bar Mitzvah Boy. She has appeared on BBC Radio and television, and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Rosenblat has worked in radio and film (Reds, Haunted Honeymoon, Little Shop of Horrors).
Rosenblat returned to New York where she worked in the audio book industry receiving a number of awards for her work including a fair number of Audie Awards awarded by AudioFile Magazine.
In the video gaming world, she voiced "Reni Wasselmeier" in the Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories. On Broadway, she created the role of "Mrs. Medlock" in the Tony Award Winning show The Secret Garden. She also performed multiple characters in the revival of Eric Bogosian's play Talk Radio with Liev Schreiber. She had a recurring role as "Miss Rosa" in the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black.
Rosenblat is the author of the best-selling Kindle book, AUDIOBOOK NARRATOR: The Art of Recording Audio Books.
