Barbus tropidolepis is a species of ray-finned fish in the Cyprinidae family. It is found in Burundi and Tanzania. Its natural habitats are rivers, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, and inland deltas. It is not considered a threatened species by the IUCN.
