Barcelona 1714 is a 2014 Spanish-Catalan historical film directed and written by Anna M. Bofarull and released through KaBoGa. It is a story of survival and passions, a history of life and death against the backdrop of the long siege and final assault of 11 September 1714 on Catalonia, Spain during the Siege of Barcelona (1713–14).[1]
Plot
Barcelona 1714 is the story of Agnes, a girl trying to survive in a city at war, Barcelona. With the vitality of their youth, Agnes aspires to live, to flee the city. After many disappointments and ordeals, Agnes must make a vital decision: board the last ship to leave the city or stay and fight until the last moment, with his people.[2]
