Bardistopus is a genus of hoverflies. Currently, only one species is known. The original description erroneously stated the species was based on two female specimens; they are in fact both males.[1]
Biology
Larvae feed as scavengers in the nests of ants.
Distribution
They are endemic to the Solomon Islands.
