Barjangsar

Barjangsar is a village located in Sardarshahar tehsil in Rajasthan, India. It is located 42 kilometres (26 mi) from the center of Sardarshahar.

Geography

Barjangsar covers an area of 300 acres (120 ha). The fertile southern and western parts of the village are given over to agriculture, which is heavily dependent on monsoon rains and the availability of power. As of 2011, a well was being dug to provide farm irrigation. The drinking water is supplied by german yojana.

Demographics

The residents of Barjangsar are mostly Hindu, and muslims with representation from several castes, such as Brahmins, Rajput, Jat and others in hindu and various castes of muslims too. The village is home to several Hindu temples and 4 masjids. Approximarely 50% muslim and 50% are hindu. The holy village also have a gaushala managed by dominant hindu families of the village like Shri Mamraj ji Pandia and his 6 sons Radheshyam Pandia , Atalbihari Pandia, Nemchand Pandia, Parmeshwarlal Pandia, Madanlal Pandia and Adv Santosh Pandia aka Chotu ji.

Government

The village barjangsar along with pichkarai taal and jaitsisar constitues the panchayat. It comes under taranagar in legislative assembly constituency and in churu region in lok sabha elections. The extended corners of the village shares its boundaries with sadasar, jairsisar, pichkarai, hardesar and its directly connected to the mega highway by connecting road of 7 km. It is considered as one of the richest village as a huge amount of working adults live in different parts of the country like assam, delhi, tamilnadu, kerala etc and abroad like dubai, saudi arab, qatar etc. Village have three wells, one in muslims colony and other two in brahmins colonies.

Economy

The majority of the economy of Barjangsar revolves around agriculture, and the retailers running their shops in the sardarshahar town and other different cities and income from abroad. Unfortunately village have only a few of government employee viz. teachers, army men and police men and Mr. Ramdev Pareek as A.En and a doctor.

Transportation

Barjangsar is well connected to city through road and haves connecting buses to major cities of Rajasthan and to the national capital New Delhi, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Bikaner, Ganganagar, Hisar. Public transport have mini buses and private buses and no roadways buses or trains are available in the village.
