History
The airport is presently dedicated to general aviation.
In 2013 a partnership between the airport administration and the Barretos Cancer Hospital, the biggest in Latin America, was created. This partnership is visible through a campaign requesting to Brazilian airlines scheduled flights to Barretos, and it is centralized on the website Voo contra o câncer.[4]
