Barrow Hills School is a preparatory school for pupils aged 3–13. It is a privately run, co-educational Catholic school, situated in the Surrey countryside south-west of Godalming. The school has a strong academic and pastoral background and maintains close links with local senior schools for which pupils are frequently awarded scholarships.[1]

As of 2009 the Head Master is Matthew Unsworth BEng(Hons), PGCE.

Deputy Headteacher

As of 2009 the Deputy Head is Iosold O'Brien BSc(Hons), PGCE.

Scholarships and bursaries

Barrow Hills offers Scholarships in Art, Music, Sport and Academic Excellence for Year 3 entry. Bursaries are also available for entry in Year 3 and Early Years.[2]

Independent Schools Inspection

A formal inspection of the school was last carried out in November 2009 by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. The inspection report graded the quality of the academic teaching as well as the pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural awareness as outstanding.

Sister school

Barrow Hills School has partnered with St Benedict's Primary School in Burkina Faso and maintains cultural links to the benefit of children in both schools.

Sports

Barrow Hills School plays many types of sport. For the boys over the age of 8, football, contact rugby, hockey and cricket are played. For girls over the age of 8, netball, hockey and rounders are played.
