Barry Chang is an American politician living in California, currently serving as the mayor of Cupertino.

Personal life

Family

Married to Sue Chang, Chang has two daughters and one son. Their older daughter, Aileen, works as an optometrist in Kauai. Their younger daughter, Alice, is practicing law in Silicon Valley, and their son, Howard, is working for a high-tech company.^[1]

Political career

Early political career

Chang ran and was elected for a seat in the Cupertino School Board in 1995 and was reelected in 2003. He has also served four years on the Cupertino Public Safety Commission.^[2]

Cupertino City Council

Chang was elected to the Cupertino City Council in 2009 and was reelected to the position of Mayor in 2014. His current term will end in 2018.^[3][4]
