Beatrice Gubbins
Beatrice Gubbins (1878–1944) was an Irish artist in watercolour.
Her works may be seen in Dunkathiel House, Dunkettle, County Cork, Ireland. The Wise Gubbins family purchased the 18th century Dunkathiel House from Jonas Morris around 1870.[1] For many years Dunkathiel House was the home of the five Gubbins sisters, all of whom were deaf, until the Russell family inherited when the Gubbins line ran out of heirs.
In the drawing room off the entrance hall of Dunkathiel House are some of the unique Victorian watercolours by Beatrice Gubbins, an indefatigable traveller.
