Cherrybelle (sometimes Cherry Belle, also known as ChiBi), is an Indonesian girl group which was formed from an audition. This band was founded on February 27, 2011 and consisted of nine young girls.[1] On April 12, 2012, Devi and Wenda resigned as a member of Cherrybelle.[2] As a result of the departure of 2 core members, on June 8, 2012 Kezia Karamoy and Steffy were elected to become the new members of Cherry Belle to replace Wenda and Devi.[3]
Cherrybelle managed to make history being the only girl group to hold a concert 33 provinces within 31 days was held from April 30, – May 31, 2013. The concert titled "Cherrybelle BEAT Indonesia" is sponsored by Honda in order to promote the album Diam Diam Suka and was awarded by MURI. On October 18, 2013, Anisa resigned because she wanted to continue her studies were interrupted for two years, after her absence has shared 8 since mid-September 2013. In the event "3 Tahun Senyuman Cherrybelle (3rd Year of Cherrybelle's Smile)" (March 16, 2014), management announced a new personnel of Chibi "Novi". Under the label Catz Records, Cherrybelle has released 3 albums including Love Is You (2011), Diam Diam Suka (2013), Reborn (2015) as well be the last album with the record company Catz Records. Cherrybelle currently under S.M. Entertainment, Distributor of Chibi held by Universal Music Indonesia also contracted out, and immediately switch to distributor Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia.
In July 15, 2015, six members Cherrybelle chose not to extend their contract that will expire this year, and chose to pursue a solo career, such as, Cherly, Felly, Gigi, Kezia, Ryn, and Steffy. Through the official Twitter account Cherrybelle, announced that the only remaining members Angel, Christy, and Novi. And September 2015. Auditions will be held Cherrybelle search of new members
History
Cherry Belle was formed on February 27, 2011.[4] Starting from the meeting two old friends, Teguh Sanjaya and Dino Raturandang lightly discuss their desire to form a group consisting of teenage girls although not imagine how many of its members. By using a very simple way eventually the plan is executed. At the time using a broadcast medium Blackberry Messenger and finally announced there will be an audition for forming girl group. Dino held open auditions in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, which 400 girls attended.[4] From the auditions conducted several times, finally elected 9 as the initial formation, which later was named Cherrybelle.[5] Cherrybelle taken from two words of foreign languages, namely Cherry (cherry) and Belle (beautiful - France). With the philosophy that the personnel Cherrybelle is a teenage girl who "Sweet" and "Beautiful".
After several months of training, including occasional practices until 3 a.m. WIB (UTC+7)[4] and living together for a month to improve interpersonal relationships,[6] in August 2011 Cherry Belle released "Love is You", a mini-album with five tracks. The album was released as both a standard and deluxe edition. "Love is You" sold well.[4] The band's first single, "Dilema" ("Dilemma") was released soon after and received much airplay. Cherry Belle also performed regularly, both on television and in concert.[7] They also found numerous fans, who go by the nickname Twibies.[8]
On April 8, 2012, Cherry Belle launched Love is You, a film directed by Hanny Saputra detailing their rise to stardom. The members played themselves. The film has the same title as the band's second single.[9]

* Angel announced her resignation during the announcement of new personnel Cherrybelle which resulted in the election of 7 new personnel from the previous plan of 6 people. However, Angel (sometimes) performed with nine members, so Cherrybelle often performed with 10 personnel and fans still consider Angel remains part of Cherrybelle.
