Beckmann Fjord
Beckmann Fjord (54°3′S 37°12′W / 54.050°S 37.200°WCoordinates: 54°3′S 37°12′W / 54.050°S 37.200°W) is a small bay immediately east of Bellingshausen Point, on the east side of the Bay of Isles, South Georgia. It was charted in 1912–13 by Robert Cushman Murphy, American naturalist aboard the brig Daisy, who named it for Captain Beckmann, master gunner of the whaler Don Ernesto, who lost his life in a whaling accident in December 1912.
