Beckmannia syzigachne, the American sloughgrass,[2] or slough grass, is an annual or short-lived perennial bunchgrass in the Poaceae (grass) family found in shallow marshes or sloughs. [3]
Beckmannia syzigachne is widespread across much of Europe, Asia, and North America.[3][4][5]
Beckmannia syzigachne is one of only two species in the Beckmannia genus; the other being Beckmannia eruciformis.[6]
