Beer in Jordan
Beer in Jordan has existed since its first introduction in the region thousands of years ago in ancient Iraq and ancient Egypt; today the country has several companies producing beer. In 1958, the first Amstel beer factory outside Germany was established in Amman.[1] Several other local companies took the lead in producing beer; however, the country had no microbreweries. In 2012 Jordan's first microbrewery was established called Carakale Brewery.
