Belgium was represented by Sergio & The Ladies,with the song Sister.The Belgian Final was held on February 17, and was hosted by Bart Peeters at the VRT TV Studios in Schelle. Before the final, there were 4 semi-finals.The members of the professional jury are Andrea Croonenberghs, Marcel Vanthilt, Rocco Granata and 4 journalists (of the media stations Radio 2, Donna, TV1 and a European jury).The voting consisted of 5 juries, however the televoting counted for 1/3 of the overall vote, with the other 4 juries counting for 1/6:
- "Expert" jury of 7 people
- Radio 2 jury (50% televoting, 50% employees)
- Radio Donna jury (50% televoting, 50% employees)
- European jury of people from the participating countries in ESC 2002
- Televoting & SMS voting
