Believers Church Residential School (BCRS) is a co-educational institution located in Kizhakkan Muthoor, Thiruvalla at a distance of 2 km from the town, and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
The school, BCRS, was started in 2002 by the Believers Church India. The school is situated in 3.45 acres of property.
As a CBSE school, cell phones are prohibited for the students on the campus, and may only be used by the staff. The rule is strictly enforced, along with the ban on all electronics such as laptops and iPods, with any violation resulting in permanent confiscation of any caught object.
BCRS has a group of well-trained teachers. The school provides transportation facility for the students with a fleet of 21 buses and covering 25 km of radius.
The school offers classes from Play School to 12th. 3 Streams are available in 12th :-

Overview
The school is residential-cum-day school. It houses separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Outdoor games likes football, basketball, volleyball, throwball and Indoor games like Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, Caroms and Kabaddi are provided which are important for overall development of a student. It follows all the new CBSE instructions.
The school also has a Swimming Pool, Dance Room, Music Rooms and a Nurse Room in case of emergency.
The school has an Excellent facility for Cultural Programs. The school has many Inter-School Teams for Football, Throwball, Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics, Cultural and Chess.

The school is run by the Believers Church Education Board. The Education Board manages seven prestigious CBSE schools. Various value based programs are conducted by the Education Board that encourage personal and professional growth.

Play Pen
The school's pride lies in the state-of-the-art 'Play pen' designed to suit the taste and requisites of toddlers, who have just learnt to walk and talk. It is not meant for developing academic skills. Homely atmosphere and caring teachers focus on the sensory, motor and social development. The toddlers in school are only too happy to wonder, think, feel, and imagine. Children who go to play pen do better in play school.
Preschool
The school follow the British "Letterland", a curriculum designed to help each child explore his or her innate potential. This child-friendly approach instills the joy of learning which sets the tone for the rest of their lives.
The creative play-way activities toned with the world of music, colour and toys stimulate the curiosity. guide them and help them to acquire skills, which make a positive difference to the formative years.
The teachers in the school like what they do and has managed to keep class size to under 25 and will strive to keep it going.
Primary
For a child, primary education is a crucial cornerstone for intellectual development. The skills they build and acquire during their primary years are the foundation of their life time of learning. With this in mind, BCRS has instituted a flexible syllabus which aims to accelerate students progress by using activity-based learning to encourage enthusiasm, motivation and confidence in all subject matters. After going through the syllabus, the child will be interested and group learning and focused thinking skills in all areas, they will have the foundation required to be highly successful in life.
The students in school are continually assessed through the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) grading standard. The parents will be informed on their child's progress and be given feedback on how to help their child to develop further. In addition to this, all parents are given a forum to meet their child's subject teachers every Tuesday from 3.30PM to 4.30PM. This system of constant two-way feedback has been extremely successful in helping students reach their highest potential.
Secondary
The mainstream curriculum framed by the Central Board of Secondary Education gives importance to acquiring intellectual skills, as well as life skills to face global challenges. Optional subjects like Malayalam, Hindi and French are offered that will develop the students confidence to roam in multi nationals. Facilities are provided to children with special needs as well.
The school also encourage children to develop as independent thinkers and learners and be responsible to the self and members of the community by providing intellectual, physical and creative activities and focuses on children to demonstrate high level of confidence and enthusiasm. The Developmental programmes of the school, with no doubt provide its worth in attaining its objective.
Good news Friday is observed every Friday afternoon to install in them spiritual, moral and social awareness.
Senior Secondary
Successful students of the secondary school are given admission to the senior secondary which lasts for two years. The following combinations are offered for the senior school.

CCA Activities
Regular CCA programs are offered to provide opportunity and platform for students of the school to search, bring out and polish his/her innate talents. Students are given option to join any one of the twelve clubs to hone their talents, under guidance by trained faculty. BCRS offers extra-curricular activities that help students imbibe valuable lessons in social development and responsibilities. Diverse activities like music, dance, creative drawing, play keyboard and nature clubs are all offered.
Syllabus
- Play School: A home away from home for the little ones. The toddler friendly 'Playschool' of the school is designed to ensure safety and liveliness - the right place to learn etiquette in the formative years.
- The pre-school (LKG and UKG) follows "Letterland", the UK system of teaching, ensures a quick and extact learning of English language.
- Std I to Std X: Class strength is restricted to ensure very personal attention. It will help students in their studies and learning. Young minds are understood, nurtured, guided and finally evaluated on guidelines laid down by the CBSE. Soft skills abd talent development are priorities without compromising the scholarship. As a result, all students will get expertise in all range of areas.

BCRS is affiliated to CBSE with affiliation No. 930508 up to secondary level from 2004 onwards and enior secondary level from 2006 onwards.
Facilities
Auditorium
The school has an indoor stadium-cum-auditorium with all modern facilities which hosts public events and student performances in the school. The auditorium accommodates up to 3000 students and gives students a friendly environment to perform various cultural activities and to develop leadership qualities.
Swimming Pool
Swimming is an excellent method of exercise which relaxes both mind and body for the children. Training children at a young age to swim is vital since it may come handy later in life and it also serves as an enjoyable recreational activity. The semi-olympic pool gives students a chance to develop their swimming skills and a chance to have fun in the water.
The school has two swimming pools: one a shallow pool for younger children and a deeper pool for primary children. Each student get an opportunity to learn swimming with the help of experienced faculty.
Digital class
Digital classrooms has been installed in the school to increase the quality of education offered to students. They offer cutting edge student education and use interactive visuals to enhance understanding on a wide range of topics. Library
Libraries form an essential components of every school campus. The school has two libraries- Junior and Senior, according to the age group. The library is well stocked with periodicals, newspapers, books and CD ROMs selected for informative and educational purposes. It helps the students build the habit of reading and allows them the opportunity to grab more information on what is happening in real life politics and economy. These resources are accessible all age groups in order to support the curriculum and act as learning aids. It has 5 dailies and 25 periodicals. There is also a period allotted for library once in a week. And many contest and prizes are given to encourage children to read more.
Science Lab
The school has three science laboratories situated on the Clock Tower Block: Physics, Chemistry, Biology. All labs are equipped with the latest equipments and most modern apparatuses.
Computer Lab
BCRS has two computer labs situated one, in Clock Tower Block and other in Administrative Block and is well equipped and well maintained computer labs. The labs are fully air conditioned and all the systems in the labs are facilitated with every software demanded by the curriculum.. Classes from 1 to 12 use the lab facility once in a week. The school maintains 1:1 proportion (one student-one system) in the lab to help each student to be well versed with the software.
