Belize City Municipal Airport (IATA: TZA) is an airport that serves Belize City, Belize. It is only one mile from the city center, and is therefore more centrally located to the city than is Belize City International Airport. It mostly services travel to Belize's cayes, allowing quicker arrivals to the cayes than by boat or water taxi. It was one of the shortest runways in Caribbean to have commercial flights until it was extended and finally opened in late 2014.
The head office of Maya Island Air is on the second floor of Building #1.[1]
Tropic Air also has a terminal at this airport with multiple flights every day.
