Belua Systems limited is a technology startup company based in London, England.
Belua is described as an attention economy based search engine which allows users to invest in the relevance of search results.[1]
The Belua team consists of CEO Anthony Zboralski and fellow co-founders Tanis De Voogd, Hubert Chenut, Leedham Te Kani and Matthieu Foillard. Known advisors are Matthieu Suiche, Rodolfo Rosini, Jim Geovedi and Professor Tim Garrett.[2]
During his speeches at TEDx Salford[3] and NoSuchCon Paris,[4] Anthony Zboralski described the internet as a "digital shanty town" and proposed the offering of land titling to slums as a template for the solution of information privacy. He then referred to his company Belua as a solution to this theory.
Belua applications use the ⌘ looped square symbol to represent attention.
Early history
In 2014, Anthony Zboralski co-founded Belua Systems Limited with Hubert Chenut and Leedham Te Kani. The startup's stated aim is to create a search engine that relies entirely on the concept of attention economics to determine search result rankings. Belua treats internet users' attention as a currency they can invest directly into the relevance of search results and contents.[5]
