Ben Brancel

Ben Brancel (July 31, 1950) is a Wisconsin politician and legislator.

Born in Portage, Wisconsin, Brancel graduated from University of Wisconsin–Platteville. Brancel served on the town board and board of education. From 1987 until 1997, he served in the Wisconsin State Assembly and was the speaker.[1] In 1997, Brancel resigned from the Wisconsin Assembly to serve as Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture in Governor Tommy Thompson's administration.[2]
