Brennan Peter Dickenson (born 26 February 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays for Gillingham. He is a left-sided winger and striker.
Playing career
Dickenson scored five Conference South goals for Dorchester Town in the first half of the 2011–12 season, before signing with Brighton & Hove Albion for an undisclosed fee in January 2012.[3] He joined League Two side Chesterfield on a one-month loan deal on 8 November 2012.[4] "Spireites" boss Paul Cook stated that "He's a very energetic, left-sided midfielder or left-sided striker who will bring a lot of balance to the team and a lot of energy going forward. There was a lot of clubs chasing him and we'd like to thank Gus Poyet for his role in allowing him to come here."[5] He scored on his debut on 10 November, after replacing Mark Randall 61 minutes into a 3–2 defeat by Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.[6] He made his first start at the Proact Stadium seven days later, in a 2–1 victory over Oxford United.[7]
On 21 May 2013, Dickenson signed a new one-year contract at Brighton.[8]
On 7 February 2014, Dickenson linked up with Northampton Town on loan for the remainder of the 2013–14 season.[9] Upon returning to Brighton, Dickenson had a contract clause invoked extending his contract by one season.[10]
On 30 June 2014, Dickenson transferred to League One club Gillingham for an undisclosed nominal fee, penning a two-year contract.[11]
